Wu Xinghan, the former president of the Chinese Football Association, has been appointed as the new manager of Shandong Taishan in the China League One.
The appointment was made by the club's owner and chairman, Guo Jingbo, who said that Wu Xinghan is "the most suitable person" for the job.
Wu Xinghan has a long history in football, having played for several clubs in China and also served as a coach for several years before becoming the head coach of Shandong Taishan in 2018.
Under his management, Shandong Taishan won the China League Two title in 2019, which marked their first-ever promotion to the China League One.
However, despite this success, Wu Xinghan has faced criticism from some quarters for his tactics and playing style, with some accusing him of being too conservative and not allowing his team to express themselves fully on the pitch.
Despite these criticisms, Wu Xinghan remains committed to his role as manager of Shandong Taishan, and he will be looking to continue to improve the club's performance in the coming season.
