Marseille manager Rudi Garcia has confirmed that he will be staying in charge next season despite the club's disappointing campaign in Ligue 1. In an interview with the French press, Garcia said: "I have a contract until June 2020 and I want to finish my time at Marseille with a good result."
Garcia's comments come after Marseille suffered their worst ever start to a season in Ligue 1, losing seven out of their first eight games. However, the manager remains confident that his side can turn things around.
"We have made some important signings this summer and we need to show everyone what we can do," he said. "We are working hard every day and I am sure we will improve our performance in the coming weeks."
Despite the challenges faced by the team, Garcia is determined to stick with his plans for the upcoming season. He believes that the squad has the talent to compete at the top level and is looking forward to seeing them put into action on the pitch.
"I am proud of what we have achieved so far this season but there is still a long way to go," he added. "I believe in this group and I am confident that we can achieve great things together."
Overall, it seems that Rudi Garcia is not going anywhere anytime soon. With his strong commitment to the team and his belief in their abilities, it looks like Marseille will continue to challenge for honours under his guidance.
