Bayern Munich have announced the signing of former winger Franck Ribery on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.
The Frenchman, who has made over 500 appearances for PSG and won two Ligue 1 titles, will join Bayern on a deal until June 2023, with an option for a further year.
Ribery's move to Bavaria comes after he was left out of the PSG squad for their Champions League match against Manchester City earlier this month due to an ankle injury.
He is expected to make his debut for Bayern when they face Hoffenheim on Saturday evening.
"Franck Ribery is a player I've always admired," said Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann.
"He brings experience and quality to our team, and we're delighted to welcome him back to Bayern."
Ribery began his career at Rennes before moving to Bordeaux, where he helped them win the French Cup in 2008.
He then joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2014, where he established himself as one of the club's top players.
Injuries have limited his appearances since joining PSG, but he remains a highly talented player and will be hoping to make a big impact at Bayern.
Ribery's arrival could see Bayern become even stronger in midfield, with Thiago Alcantara and Joshua Kimmich already key players in that position.
His addition also gives Bayern a strong option to play in a number of different positions throughout the pitch, giving Nagelsmann more options to choose from.
Overall, Ribery's signing is another major coup for Bayern Munich, and fans can't wait to see what he will bring to the club.
